– When a microorganism comes into contact with copper, the copper destroys the membranes of bacterial cells and can destroy the DNA and RNA of the germs, preventing the mutations.
– It generates oxidative stress on bacterial cells and creates hydrogen peroxide that can kill the cell.
– It destroys bacterial cells by blocking the function of the protein and inhibiting their activity.
