This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team for a wide range of rescue and environmental situations, which may include industrial, rural, and extreme environmental conditions.
Foundation skills required
Foundation skills are the underpinning communication skills required for participation in the workplace, the community and in adult education and training.
- Learning – to learn to undertake rescue activities
- Reading – in order to read and understand work-related tasks, documentation, policies, procedures and manufacturer instructions to make accurate reports.
- Writing – in order to make reports and complete forms
