A Copper Oxide Fabric (Copper Oxide impregnated in Polypropylene nonwoven spunbond) was successfully developed by Israeli scientists for medical wound dressing and was proven to be safe and effective against viruses and bacteria. HOW IT WORKS

Functionality and Property of copper oxide (CU2O): Copper is a known antiviral and antibacterial microbial material. The element dramatically affects bacteria through ions that damage bacterial cells. Copper is registered with the EPA as a public-health antimicrobial product because of its proven antiviral features. When bacteria and copper ions come into contact, the copper ions weaken the outer membrane of the bacteria cell through the process of oxidation.

Copper is toxic to the inside of the bacteria cell and, eventually, the copper ions cause the cell to rupture. The cell then loses its vital structure and finally dies. Copper has multiple pathways to damage the virus & bacteria. That makes it more difficult for viruses & bacteria to become resistant to its powerful effect.

dual side effect

The mask itself is made out of three layers. The outer layer prevents droplets from entering and holds microscopic copper oxide polymers. The middle layer traps small particles that may pass through the outer layer. It also prevents the flow of particles outward. The inner layer is close to the nose and mouth and was designed to absorb moisture, also holds microscopic copper oxide polymers.

A tiny amount of copper particles are blended into the mask hence the brownish or salmon-pink color. The copper antiviral properties do not decline over time. So as long as the mask is physically intact, it provides protection without a need for sterilization.

Note: Type IIR face masks EN14683 are medical face masks that prevent large particles from reaching the patient or working surfaces. Type IIR Face masks include a splash-resistant layer to protect against blood and other bodily fluids. Type IIR face masks are tested in the direction of exhalation (inside to outside) and take into account the efficiency of bacterial filtration.
Characteristics of Type IIR face masks include:

Type I, Type IR, Type II and Type IIR masks are for use in protecting others from the wearer transmitting infection.

Type IIR face masks have at least BFE (bacterial filtration efficiency) of 98%. The breathing resistance, and splash resistance for Type IR and Type IIR masks, are exactly the same.
Type I, IR, II and IIR face masks are medical masks tested in the direction of exhalation (inside to outside) and take into account the efficiency of bacterial filtration. Surgical masks of this type stop the wearer from infecting the surrounding environment.

Does the mask performance reduce due to sweat, saliva, or humidity?

Not at all. Humidity, sweat, or saliva does not reduce the mask’s performance. Even better, it does not require any special maintenance work (e.g., sterilization, washing, etc.). The mask features do not deteriorate if the mask is wet.

Is the mask safe to wear?

Absolutely. The mask is a Non-Toxic, Non-Irritating, Breath Safe product.

Does the mask have a unique smell?

The new mask can have a characteristic copper smell. Put the mask in the fresh air for several minutes and the smell decrease. Over time, the smell will decrease more.
After using the mask, additional natural odors (smell of sweat or breath) may acquire. In this case, you also need to dry and ventilate the mask. Dry the mask in a room or fresh air, on a table, or on a hanger.

Copper-Oxide Mask Color

As stated in the Copper-Oxide mask specifications, a portion of mask’s the raw material is made of Copper powder. This raw material has an impact on the Mask color; hence, color variations can be expected in different manufacturing lot.
I.e., the raw copper material used in different production batches, may affect the mask’s
color, and can vary in the range of orange-brown-copper color to Salomon pink color.

Mask fitting instructions

– Hold the ear loop of mask with both hands

– Pull the strap of the mask back to the ear and fit comfortable

– Place the nasal wire on top

– Press the nasal wire firmly to cover the nose

– The side on which the earlobe is not connected should face the face

– The mask should cover the mouth and nose

– On the side, the mask should adhere to the face, around the nose and under the chin

– If you feel irritation during use, replace the mask or stop using it

– Do not use the mask if it is torn or physically damaged in any way as the level of protection will be reduced

Maintenance and Usage

You can wear the mask from both sides. The mask is Dual Side Use. The mask Inner/Outer-layer are completely the same, and made of the patented copper material.

The mask does not need to be cleaned or washed, and retains its properties even when it is dirty.

Do not Wash |  Do not bleach |  Do not lron  | Dry Flat 

However, if you wish to clean, light stains (i.e. Makeup etc.) of the mask surface, please use a warm, damp cloth or sponge with light pressure on the masks’ surface, and let it dry for at least 30 min.

When cleaning, care must be taken not to physically damage the mask surface.

Do not use any makeup remover or detergents materials for cleaning the mask.
